Corrosion Management in Oil & Gas Production in Sensitive Environments

The Alaska Section of NACE International and the Anchorage area would like to invite you to the NACE Northern Area Western Conference 2012. The two day conference will center around technical programs on Corrosion in Oil and Gas Production in the Arctic, and Corrosion and Integrity of Pipelines.

Corrosion in Oil and Gas Production in the Arctic is a very relevant topic, given today’s high prices for oil and natural gas. Pipeline integrity is also a timely and relevant topic with new regulatory requirements. The conference will give oil and gas producers, and pipeline owners and operators the opportunity to present their latest innovations in this field, as well as the chance to meet other operators with similar problems and concerns, and learn how they are dealing with the issues. This conference will offer a chance for presenters and participants in the various corrosion and pipeline integrity fields to gather, take in the various presentations, and participate in panel discussions of these areas.

Additional offerings with the conference will include:

• A trade show for companies to showcase their products and services, in conjunction with the technical program. The trade show will also be located at the Hotel Captain Cook.
• During the week prior to the conference we intend to host the NACE Cathodic Protection 2 class, with a day off between for some personal exploring of South Central Alaska.
