Protecting the Power of Tomorrow

The nuclear industry is experiencing a world-wide renaissance, after a decades-long standstill due, in no small part, to the events at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. As this period of rebirth proceeds, high-performance coatings have become an increased area of focus. Both industry and regulatory authorities have recognized the importance of maintaining the robustness of safety-related coatings in the restrictive and safety-critical nuclear power plant environment and, as a result, new technologies and updated standards have been developed to improve coatings work in nuclear power plants.

Given the specialized nature of coatings in nuclear power plants, this exclusive symposium will bring together coating professionals and companies who develop/sell coatings systems for nuclear power plants to update the attendees on recent advances in nuclear power plant coatings technology.

Why should you attend?

The one-day symposium will focus on current events, new initiatives, technology, and training in nuclear power plant coatings. A range of coatings related topics will be presented to assist the decision making process of the utility power plant personnel responsible for the selection, procurement, application, maintenance, and assessment of the effectiveness of the coatings systems at their plants.

Who should attend?

The symposium will be of interest to individuals involved with the selection, procurement, application, maintenance and assessment of effectiveness of coatings at nuclear power generating facilities. It will be of particular benefit to the following types of individuals associated with coatings or nuclear power plants:

  • Nuclear Power Plant quality control and assurance managers
  • Qualified coating inspectors (NACE CIPs and CIPs that have completed the Nuclear Facilities Certification Supplement)
  • Inspection firms - qualified inspectors and managers
  • Coating manufacturers sales representatives and technical representatives
  • Architectural Engineering Firms - personnel involved in coating inspection and evaluation
  • Coating contractors, applicators and project managers
  • Governmental agencies with Nuclear Power Plant oversight
  • Nuclear power plant coatings specialists, engineers, and maintenance personnel
