Student Poster Session
Monday, August 10 through Thursday, August 13

Sponsored by the DoD Corrosion Policy and Oversight Office and NACE International. Students are invited to prepare and submit posters for display.

  • Students (undergraduate, graduate or post doctorate) can present completed research, research in progress, or even planned research. The posters will be judged on scientific/engineering/technology approach, content, thoroughness, novelty of approach and potential impact on the corrosion community and/or the public.
  • Student attendance is required at the conference to participate.
  • Abstracts must be 200–300 words in length, single-space, and contain no photos, graphs or figures.
  • There can be a maximum of two students per poster. Students should acknowledge the assistance of their advisor and any fellow students under “acknowledgments.”
  • All entrants will be notified by May 8, 2009 as to whether or not their abstract has been accepted for inclusion. Each student can submit his poster in any of the three categories: Corrosion Science, Corrosion Engineering or Corrosion and Materials Modeling.

$1,000 in Total Prize Gift Certificates – 6 Different Prizes
Post Doctorate students are not eligible for prizes.

Attend all phases of conference, such as:

  • Technical Sessions
  • Keynote presentations
  • Exhibits
  • Poster Session, etc. with professionals in the corrosion engineering field
