If you require a visa to attend CORROSION 2012, then apply now! U.S. regulations now require security checks for most visitor visas, resulting in a process that may take three months or more. Citizens of certain countries must have an invitation in hand before they can obtain a passport from their government and then apply for a U.S. entry visa. General information on the U.S. visa application process is available through the National Academies’ International Visitors Office. Official information on U.S. visa policies and procedures is available from the U.S. Department of State.
Some consulates may have backlogs in scheduling visa interviews, so applicants should first contact the consulate to determine how long the wait is for an interview. Click here for available visa wait times.
Persons who are giving presentations in the technical symposia are provided invitation letters, and all NACE members who reside in countries requiring visas will automatically be sent a letter of invitation to CORROSION 2012.
If you are not an author in a technical symposium or a member of NACE, you must first register for the conference, then send your request to Denise Hookstra.
