General Conference Information Official Conference Language The official conference language is English. Dress Code The dress code for all official conference activities, excluding the Awards Dinner, is business casual. Attire for the Awards Dinner is business dress. Convention Center Information Salt Palace Convention Center If you require a visa to attend CORROSION 2012, then apply now! U.S. regulations now require security checks for most visitor visas, resulting in a process that may take three months or more. Citizens of certain countries must have an invitation in hand before they can obtain a passport from their government and then apply for a U.S. entry visa. General information on the U.S. visa application process is available through the National Academies’ International Visitors Office. Official information on U.S. visa policies and procedures is available from the U.S. Department of State. Some consulates may have backlogs in scheduling visa interviews, so applicants should first contact the consulate to determine how long the wait is for an interview. Persons who are giving presentations in the technical symposia are provided invitation letters, and all NACE members who reside in countries requiring visas will automatically be sent a letter of invitation to CORROSION 2012. If you are not an author in a technical symposium or a member of NACE, you must first register for the conference, then send your request to Denise Hookstra.
CorporateAccess Lounge The CorporateAccess Lounge offers qualifying Corporate Members specialized service and an oasis for conducting business. Reserve meeting rooms, use the fax machine, check e-mail on our computers, or just relax between meetings. The lounge will be open from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday. See the Final Program on site for location details. Information Kiosk Need directions, or have a question? NACE staff will be available to help you navigate the convention center or answer general conference questions. There will be two information kiosks at CORROSION 2012 – one located inside the exhibit hall near registration and one located on the second floor near the meeting sessions.
NACE Bookstore Visit the NACE Bookstore where you can browse through corrosion related books, standards, reports, and software, as well as NACE-branded products such as shirts, hats, and jackets. Hundreds of products will be available with many at special sale prices. From the shuttle drop-off, the bookstore will be located on the right hand side of the South Foyer. Hours are as follows:

Airport Transportation Public Transportation Restaurants and Bars Liquor Laws Climate in March The NACE Press Office is a workspace available for registered media and includes complimentary WiFi in a quiet space away from exhibits and sessions. A press badge is required for access to the Press Office. Each pre-registered member of the press will have a mailbox located in the press room.
