Corrosion Control In The Refining Industry

The Corrosion Control in the Refining Industry Course provides an overview of refinery process units and specific process descriptions, and focuses on the examination and identification of corrosion and metallurgical problems that occur in process units. Students receive the most recent version of REFIN•COR software, which is a database of experiences, problems, and solutions encountered by refining industry corrosion engineers and includes minutes of meetings of NACE Committee TEG 205X (formerly T-8) on Refining Industry Corrosion from 1957 through 2002. This is information which can be used on-the-job and cannot be found anywhere else.

Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Training (S-CAT)

This course is intended to provide a foundation of coatings, corrosion, and corrosion control knowledge for assessing the condition of tanks and other structures, and determining the required actions necessary to effectively maintain fully operational status. The desired end result is that assessors utilize a consistent, orderly, and repeatable process of evaluation that has the confidence of all those involved in the maintenance cycle.

CIP Level 2, maritime emphasis highlights the skills and knowledge required to correctly address the inspection requirements of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Performance Standard for Protective Coatings (PSPC). The course concludes with both written and practical exams.
