Comments from the TCC Leadership:
TCC Reaches Out to International Areas and Sections

With the changing of the TCC officers at CORROSION 2011, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cris Conner, the recent "outgoing" TCC chair, for the excellent leadership and foresight he provided TCC during his term (2009-2011).

It was certainly a pleasure to work with Cris on many of the initiatives he led, such as developing the TCC Goals. His significant accomplishments are testimony to his dedication and commitment to strategically position TCC to more effectively address the needs of NACE members globally, for example, by increasing international representation and participation on NACE technical committees.

My best wishes to Cris in his future endeavors and his continued influence and participation in NACE and TCC activities.

New Technology Exchange Group Provides Guidance on Carbon Capture and Storage

Climate change and mitigating the effects of fossil fuel emissions in the atmosphere are two of the most crucial issues in the world today. Individuals involved at all levels in the power, chemical, refining, cement, and oil and gas production industries recognize the increasing need to reduce atmospheric CO2.

Something to Celebrate...

Several times a year, NACE recognizes members who have achieved service milestones by presenting them with a lapel pin to acknowledge their years of service. This year the following members have received a service pin:

50 Years of Service
Jerry D. Byrd and Arthur J. Freedman, each received a pin celebrating 50 years of service to NACE.
