Will Aging Infrastructure Force Changes in Funding Focus?

In 2005, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) (Reston, Virginia) gave the United States infrastructure an overall grade of “D” for condition. When the report card was revisited in 2008, the “D” was not improved and the ASCE estimated that $2.2 trillion would be needed over the next five years to bring the nation’s infrastructure into passing-grade condition.

Now the public can more quickly and easily access federal regulations from nearly 300 federal agencies using the overhauled Regulations.gov Web site, a one-stop, online source of information related to current and forthcoming regulations issued by the U.S. government.
